"I feel very honoured and I definitely will do my best to meet the requirements"

Regional Editors shall support the Editor in Chief in defining the main direction of the journal in order to further improve the scientific quality and timeliness of research. The European Regional Editor shall also advocate European interests.

Further Regional Editors: Dr. Anna Moore (North America), Dr. Mei Tian (Asia).

Molecular Imaging and Biology -MIBI - published by Springer - is the official journal of the European Society for Molecular Imaging and the World Molecular Imaging Society. Publish also your work in imaging science inside the MIBI and benefit from an expedited review for ESMI members! Not a member yet - just apply and be part!

Good to know...

the average reviewing time can be divided into two categories:

1) the time for first decision, which is 21 days. This is the point at which you will know if your submission is accepted, needs revision, or is rejected.

2) time to final decision, which is 45 days. This is an average time that included time for revisions made by authors and review of the revised manuscript. Once accepted, the average time for the article appears in OnLine First is about 21 days. This is considered the publication date. Once in OnLine First, the article can be cited used the DOI number and is found by the various literature search engines.

The current impact factor the Molecular Imaging and Biology is 2.569. The ranking of the journal is 27th of 121 which are considered in the same area of interest (e.g., imaging, radiology, nucl. med., etc).

The MIBI is providing a forum for the discovery of molecular mechanisms of health and disease through the use of imaging technique.
