The ESMI Award 2010 was presented to Andreas H. Jacobs

The ESMI Award 2010 was presented to Andreas H. Jacobs for his outstanding contribution to the successful establishment of the European Society for Molecular Imaging as well as for his excellent scientific work in the field of Molecular Imaging. The laudatory speech was given by John Clark within the Opening Ceremony of the 5th annual meeting in Warsaw on May 26, 2010. The ESMI award winner 2009 emphasized also the brilliant networking and cross-communication abilities of Andreas H. Jacobs.

Andreas H. Jacobs is Director of the European Institute for Molecular Imaging - EIMI at the University of Münster and Head of Laboratory for Gene Therapy and Molecular Imaging at the Max-Planck-Institute for Neurological Research in Cologne. He was the 2nd president of the ESMI from 2008 to 2010 and the coordinator of the European Network of Excellence DiMI - Diagnostic Molecular Imaging.
