New ESMI president: Clemens W.G.M. Löwik

Within the ESMI General Assembly at the 5th annual meeting in Warsaw, the former president of the society Andreas H. Jacobs handed over the presidentship and the "key of success" to Clemens W.G.M. Löwik. Clemens W.G.M. Löwik thanked Andreas H. Jacobs and honoured his outstanding contribution to the society and the broad field of MI. The new ESMI president is determined to focus on three goals:

  • to further strengthen and expand its (ESMI's) spectrum
  • to continue and expand the opportunities for members to advance their understanding and knowledge in the field of molecular imaging
  • to strengthen the Society’s relationship with industry as technical development is an essential aspect Mission statement

Clemens Löwik is a full Professor in Molecular Endocrinology and Molecular Imaging at the Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands. The basic studies of Prof. Löwik and his colleagues have led to the clinical development of new generation bisphoshonates... read more
